What is the difference between a vector and a Jpeg?A vector is artwork created of lines and curves, they can be rezised to any scale without pixelation. Typical vector formats are AI, EPS and PDF files. A Jpeg or bitmap image are made up of tiny dots called pixels. Different coloured pixels make an image such as a photograph. Bitmaps depend on the pixels and when you start to increase the image in size then it becomes pixelated as the pixels are a fixed size. On-screen, this resolution is often referred to as PPI (pixels per square inch).

What is the difference between a vehicle wrap and just graphics or sign writing?Car wrapping is a way of changing the look of your vehicle without the need for a complicated and potentially expensive paint respray. It involves completely or partially covering your vehicle with a vinyl film. This film can be used to overlay the vehicle with a different colour or printed design, add a gloss or matte finish. Graphics and sign writing is the application of printed or single cut vinyl images, logos or text to a vehicle.

How do I care for my wrap and vehicle graphics?❌ DON'T wash the vehicle for the first week to ensure maximum adherence. • Do not use traffic film remover ✔️ DO wash your vehicle regularly (after the first week). • Use a mild car shampoo • Washing regularly prevents a build up of dirt which can become hard to remove and potentially damage the material. • Make sure to rinse as much dirt/grit off as possible before using a soft, clean sponge or cloth and a non-abrasive detergent. • To reduce water marks, always use a silicone squeegee to remove water and dry with a clean microfibre. ⚠️ BE CAREFUL pressure washing A pressure washer can be used cautiously; ensure the pressure is below 2000psi (14 MPa), the temperature is below 80°C and spray from at least 1 foot (300mm) away at a 90° angle with a 40° wide angle spray pattern nozzle. 🚫 AVOID automated/brush car washes. You will risk dulling and scratching the material plus the brushes may lift the edges of the graphics which will affect the longevity.

How do I care for Magnetic Signs? The vehicle should be clean before applying the magnetic signs and make sure they sit flush with the bodywork. It is advisable to remove the magnetic signs once a week and wipe the vehicle and the back of the magnetic sign to prevent moisture and/or dirt getting trapped and damaging the paintwork of the vehicle or becoming permanently adhered to the vehicle. If you remove the magnetic signs store them flat.
